The government has today announced a package of measures and funding to support equal access and enhance the provision of PE, school sport and physical activity opportunities in and out of school hours.

The package announced today includes:

• PE & Sport Premium extended for 2 years
• 2 hours minimum of curriculum PE
• SGO funding extended for 2 years
• Equal access to sports in schools
• £57m for opening school sports facilties
• New Premium reporting tool
