Universal Services, via our Environmental Management System is committed to addressing environmental aspects which our facility controls and over which we may be expected to have an influence.
In order to achieve the above objective, we are asking you for your support in this matter by continuing to exercise best practice in respect of the impacts that your business processes may have on the global environment. Also, please contact us if you need advice regarding the correct disposal of our products that you no longer require.
Although we do not need your formal confirmation of the above, any email response would be very much appreciated and contribute to our EN ISO 14001 environmental management activities.

Universal Services Support Essex Disabled Sports Foundation

This year Universal Services has took the decision not to send Christmas cards to customers and suppliers or to accept any gifts during the holiday period. As an alternative we're delighted to announce that we will be supporting the fantastic local charity Essex Disabled Sports Foundation.
We will be making a donation to this charity in lieu of Christmas cards and ask that if any suppliers still wish to send a token, instead of say a bottle of wine or a box of chocolates that they donate to this amazing charity.
Essex Disabled Sports Foundation (Registered Charity No. 1001176), has now raised well over £1.5 million which has been donated to schools and organizations, such as Riding for Disabled to provide sporting facilities and opportunities for disabled children.
The money raised is used to provide sports equipment, coaching and tuition, the hire of sports halls and the funding of outings and adventure type holidays.
Taking part in sport increases the children’s self confidence, physical development and self esteem and helps them meet challenges that they may face later in life.
Frank Bruno MBE has been the President of the Club for over twenty years and supports all of their events if he is able to do so.

Changes to Sport England Recommended Sports Hall Sizes

Sport England have recently announced that they have made changes to the recommended standard size of sports halls. This document can be found on Sport England website at www.sportengland.org
The most significant changes is the revision of a four court sports hall to 34.5m x 20m from the standard size of 33m x 18m. This new hall size will mean that they are much more versatile and a wider variety of sports will be able to be played in halls. -
Saltex 2011

We’re eagerly awaiting the start of Saltex next week on the 6th, 7th and 8th September at Windsor Racecourse and welcoming you onto our stand, you’ll be able to view our range of football goals, hockey goals, netball goals and football posts on our E12 stand. Representatives will be more than happy to speak to you regarding any quotations that you require and there will be a number of special offers on the stand for our equipment. Lets hope the weather is good!!!

Raising Funds for Local Charity

One of our Managers recently completed his previously mentioned John O’Groats to Lands End cycle ride, raising funds for our local RNLI life boat. In excess of £2000 was raised through Universal Services and it’s suppliers making a considerable part of the £7500 raised by the three cyclists.
